Monday night marked the first-ever training session for the Eastside Eagles in East Belfast. Following a successful fundraising social the previous Friday, the turnout exceeded all expectations - an impressive 27 people attended, with 21 of those being completely new to Touch!

Round 1 of this year's Men's League took place in Buccaneers RFC on Saturday last 22nd March. No less than five teams converged on the Athlone venue for a bumper day of eight matches. This clearly shows the rising interest in this competition which is running for its third year.

The first of the 2025 Men's Interprovincial Series will take place on Saturday 24th May 2025 in St Michael's College, Dublin. All Men's players are encouraged to sign up and represent their province in what is the highest standard of domestic touch in Ireland. Munster took home both Interprovincial titles in March and November 2024.

The 2025 Liam Carroll Cup took place yesterday at the Sport Ireland Campus in Abbottstown. The cup is named after the late Liam Carroll who was one of the pioneers of Touch Rugby in Ireland.

The ITA will be hosting a women's club tournament on Saturday 26th April in Buccaneers RCF, Athlone. Club secretaries can register teams here and players should register for their clubs on www.mytouchclub.com

The Ireland Touch Association (ITA) is now calling for applications for coaches and managers for Open and Senior Ireland representative teams for 2025-2026, up to and including the European Touch Championships in August 2026.

This month, the Cooke Warriors Touch Rugby Club, together with their counterparts across Cooke RFC, have donated more than a quarter tonne of food items, toiletries and baby products to the South Belfast Foodbank. An incredible feat!
